Melchior von und zu Panke is a friendly ghost that lives in Binny's house. She helps him find out what happened to him and his parents.
Melchior is portrayed by Johannes Hallervorden.
Biography[]
Before the First Episode[]
Melchior was born to Friedrich and Johanna von und zu Panke. He lived his normal life until the April 8th 1914 when he and both of his parents died under mysterious circumstances. Unlike his parents however, Melchior didn't enter his after life but instead stayed on Earth as a ghost. He stayed in his family home for decades.
Season 1[]
In 2012 a teenage girl named Binny Baumann and her parents arrived to Berlin, ready to move in. Upon finding his pocket watch, she opened it up and saw him. Together they pulled out a plan to make Baumanns move out from his family home. However when that failed, he told her his story and she promised to help him find out the the truth about his family.
Together they discovered that his parents were the Guardians of the Watches. His mission was now to protect them from the Watch Hunters.
That's how he came across Hubertus van Horas, a Watch Hunter and his assistant Bodo. After a long journey they came face to face; that is when Hubertus revealed to Melchior that he's responsible for the death of his parents.
